This series truly embodies the saying, "Good things take time." After being first unveiled at a furniture design exhibition in Denmark in 2014, it is finally being commercialized after more than 10 years.
The felt shade creates an intimate and cozy atmosphere with its material's inherent warmth and the golden-hued light it casts as spatial illumination. At the same time, the light from the bottom of the shade provides practical illumination, lighting up tables and hands.
The shade features perforations like sewing stitches. These serve as fold lines for the hand-folded felt shades and also allow a faint light to leak and blur through them, creating depth and adding a calm, emotional expression.
Felt is also known as a material that creates a calm acoustic environment due to its structure, which suppresses the reflection of mid-to-high frequency sounds such as human voices and reduces reverberation.
