Announcement of the Commencement of Legal Proceedings Against Certain Members of Ojo Gang

Jameel Inc. has initiated legal proceedings in Japan against Minami Oikawa, Uwa Kitadera, and Hana Hirai, members of "Ojo Gang," a team formed and produced by our company that won the Korean television program "Street Woman Fighter." This matter has already transitioned to the litigation stage, and court proceedings are scheduled to commence in the future. This case stems from the aforementioned members' breach of their exclusive contracts with our company and their financially motivated actions concerning their appearance in the "Street Woman Fighter" concert. Our company negotiated for several months to secure the best possible conditions for the team and successfully achieved improved terms, including increasing the participation fee by approximately six times. However, some members, including those mentioned above, conspired with the concert organizers and engaged in clear contractual breaches by excluding our company from the concert contract with the aim of increasing their personal financial gain. Only Ibuki Imada, a contracted artist of our company and the leader of Ojo Gang, refused to breach her contract with our company, even under threats from the concert organizers to do so. Subsequently, the members other than Ibuki Imada (hereinafter referred to as "the members in question") systematically spread defamatory information based on false content, targeting our company and our artists with acts of defamation, attempting to justify their own actions. Furthermore, the members in question violated their contractual obligations and directly conveyed false and damaging information about our company to other businesses, with the aim of securing greater financial benefits. Due to a series of public actions by the members in question, multiple projects, including television appearances, brand contracts, and events, both in Japan and overseas, have been affected, leading to their cancellation or termination. This has caused damages not only to our company but also to other related businesses. The claims made by the members in question are entirely groundless and have resulted in significant economic and social reputational damage to our company and Ibuki Imada. This matter is by no means a misunderstanding; it is a deliberate and organized act of dishonesty carried out to ignore contractual obligations and obtain financial gain. Moreover, this matter has unfolded in the public sphere through the media, and the false information disseminated therein can have severe impacts on a person's reputation, career, and even their life itself. Our company believes it is necessary to firmly confront such actions. Our company is also preparing legal procedures against the members in question other than Minami Oikawa, Uwa Kitadera, and Hana Hirai. Regarding this matter, we will seek a swift resolution in court, prove the truth in legal proceedings, and thoroughly pursue responsibility through all legal means. Jameel Inc.
