Japan League Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture, President: Issei Washizaki) announced today, July 1, 2026, the launch of a crowdfunding campaign on the crowdfunding service "CAMPFIRE" for the "JAPAN SUMMER LEAGUE (JSL) 2026," a baseball league for third-year high school students whose regional tournaments for the National High School Baseball Championship have concluded. The target amount is 2 million yen (All-In method). We appreciate your generous support.

What is JAPAN SUMMER LEAGUE?

JAPAN SUMMER LEAGUE is a baseball league held for third-year high school students after their summer regional tournaments. Out of approximately 4,000 high school baseball teams nationwide, only 49 schools can advance to Koshien. The reality is that nearly 99% of ballplayers finish their three years without ever stepping onto the dream stage.

With the concept of "Shining a light on places that don't see the sun," we provide a "stage where those who can't give up can compete seriously once more," and in addition to mere games, we also implement a curriculum to consider skills development, future paths, and careers. In its inaugural year in 2025, 37 players from across the country participated and spent their final summer to the fullest.

Message from the Representative

Issei Washizaki (President, Japan League Co., Ltd.)

During my student days, I was always cheering from the stands. I wanted to play but couldn't.

I could only watch my teammates battle on the field. I still can't forget that regret.

But was it truly a lack of skill? Or was it simply a lack of opportunities to challenge myself? When I thought about it, I saw what I needed to do.

The concept of the Japan Summer League is "Shining a light on places that don't see the sun."

I want to give players who haven't had opportunities a chance to stand on the field again. That's why this league guarantees playing time for all players.

This is an "Open Campus" for 18-year-olds in sports. We want it to be a place where everyone who participates can achieve their own goals, whether they want to hone their baseball skills or re-examine their future paths.

-- May it be a summer where more players than ever encounter their own potential.

We sincerely ask for your support.

Words of Support

Mac Suzuki (JWL Ambassador, Former Professional Baseball Player)

I wholeheartedly support this initiative that gives a second chance to high school students who have experienced disappointment.

I myself, due to my immaturity at the time, dropped out of high school and almost gave up on baseball. However, thanks to the support of many people, including my parents, I went to the US alone and was fortunate enough to forge a path to the majors from being a practice player.

There are things that only someone who has known failure can convey.

"People can change if they have a place to challenge themselves."

Please join this crowdfunding campaign and support the future of these young challengers together!
