Results of Implementation: Business-led Cloud Migration

Toray Fine Chemical supplies essential materials for the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and semiconductors. Operating under strict ISO-certified management, the company previously stored equipment management data on internal on-premises servers but decided to migrate to the cloud to strengthen Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

Led by on-site teams, the project built an information infrastructure for approximately 300 users across four plants in Chiba, Matsuyama, Moriyama, and Tokai. In just one month, they migrated 60 types of business management databases, 300,000 existing records, and approximately 25GB of attachments to the cloud.

Efficiency Gains Through Full-Text Search and Mobile Use

Following the implementation, the full-text search function—covering the contents of attached files—has accelerated knowledge sharing. Furthermore, inventory tasks previously managed quarterly in Excel have been digitized via JUST.DB and mobile devices, enabling real-time input and output for rapid decision-making.

Factors Behind Rapid, Business-Led Deployment

The key to this success was the adoption of JUST.DB, a fully no-code tool that enabled staff members without specialized IT backgrounds to build and migrate systems themselves. The deployment was completed in just one month of practical construction, approximately one year after initial consideration.
