Home Learning Service 'Smile Zemi' Launches New 'Pre-kindergarten Course' for 3 and 4-Year-Olds in the U.S. on April 22

JustSystem Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kyotaro Sekinada) will launch the 'Pre-kindergarten Course' for 3 and 4-year-olds on April 22 (Wednesday) within 'Smile Zemi,' a home learning service for toddlers and elementary school students in the United States. The service is priced at $99.99 per month, with a 21-day free trial period for families to try it at home.

Smile Zemi currently offers a 6-grade curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 5. The newly added Pre-kindergarten Course targets toddlers before they enter kindergarten. It aims to establish the foundations of 'writing' and 'math' during early childhood, a period of rapid brain development, supporting children to reach Grade 1 equivalent content in as little as one year from home.

[Features of the Pre-kindergarten Course] The curriculum covers seven areas: Alphabet, Math, ELA, Science, Social Skills, Thinking Skills, and Art & Music. Additionally, the dedicated tablet and digitizer pen allow children to write directly on the screen with their hands resting on it. Unlike learning that involves simple tapping or swiping, the experience of writing like paper and pencil promotes learning retention.

Establishing 'Writing' and 'Calculation' Skills as the Foundation of Learning In Alphabet learning, children start with basic strokes like short lines and curves, move through guided animations for correct stroke order, and progress to writing full characters. In Math, the focus is on grasping the concept of numbers. Through intuitive operations on the screen, children learn how to count, order, and write numbers, building a foundation for calculation skills.

Providing a Personalized Learning Environment for Each Child Lessons progress according to each child's understanding and pace, with mechanisms for repeated review, providing a personalized learning environment. The design allows for a smooth transition to Kindergarten content based on the child's proficiency, enabling advanced learning.
