Jichitai Ad Forms Public-Private Partnership Agreement with Oita Prefecture's Kuju Town to Resolve Vacant House Issues

Jichitai Ad Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Takayasu Tokitsu; hereinafter "Jichitai Ad"), which operates "Akisol," a comprehensive consultation service for vacant houses and land, announced today that it has signed a public-private partnership agreement with Kuju Town, Oita Prefecture, aimed at resolving issues related to vacant properties.

■ Background and Objectives

In addition to its advertising business, which aims to secure revenue and reduce costs for local governments, Jichitai Ad also operates "Akisol," a comprehensive consultation service for vacant houses and land. The objective of this business is to resolve various problems related to vacant houses nationwide and contribute to the creation of livable towns. Since its service launch in 2021, Jichitai Ad has promoted public-private partnership agreements with local governments facing vacant property issues across Japan, having entered into agreements with 113 municipalities by the end of December 2025.

Kuju Town (Kokonoe-machi) is located in the southwest of Oita Prefecture. Approximately half of the town is designated as Aso-Kuju National Park or Hita-Yabakei-Hiko National Quasi-National Park, blessed with a rich natural environment and a population of 7,971 (as of the end of March 2026). The town actively promotes measures to meet the demand for relocation and settlement, such as operating "relocation experience housing" where people can experience rural life.

On the other hand, while a certain number of usable vacant houses exist within the region, the challenge lies in the low number of consultations and inquiries from vacant property owners, resulting in a shortage of "housing options" that can be offered to those wishing to relocate.

Against this background, Akisol's track record of implementation in municipalities nationwide and its expertise in supporting vacant property owners were highly evaluated, leading to the conclusion of this partnership agreement. Akisol will undertake the following initiatives for Kuju Town's vacant property measures:

1. Free comprehensive consultation service for vacant houses and land
2. Matching with contractors (demolition, pruning, estate clearing, etc.)
3. 0-yen property matching (gifting of vacant houses/land with low market liquidity)
4. Production of awareness leaflets
5. Construction of an intention survey questionnaire scheme
* Other necessary tasks in collaboration with the municipality

Going forward, we will continue to contribute to solving regional issues through the further utilization of vacant houses.
