　The Kyoto National Museum will host the Special Exhibition "Kitano Tenjin" from Saturday, April 18, 2026, to Sunday, June 14, 2026, in commemoration of the 1125th anniversary of the passing of Sugawara no Michizane in 2027, marking the grand annual festival "Hanmantosai". This exhibition will feature the complete scrolls and all scenes of the National Treasure "Kitano Tenjin Engi Emaki (Jokyu Version)" from the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine for the first time in history. Additionally, the twin swords "Higeri" and "Hizamaru" (both Important Cultural Properties), said to be treasures of the Genji clan and held by Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and Daitoku-ji Temple respectively, will be displayed together in the same case. Visitors can also view precious artifacts passed down through various Tenmangu shrines, Tensha shrines, and temples across Japan.
