Sun Music Nagoya Launches Second 'Saikou Project' Idol Audition for Individuals Facing Social Challenges

Sun Music Nagoya (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi; Representative: Tetsuyuki Wada), an entertainment production company operating mainly in the Tokai region and a subsidiary of Sun Music Production, is launching the '2nd Saikou Project Idol Unit Debut Member Audition' on June 8, 2026, aimed at individuals facing 'living difficulties' or 'work difficulties.'

What is the Saikou Project?
In recent years, an increasing number of people face difficulties in 'working normally' or 'living normally' due to mental health issues, developmental characteristics, or social anxiety. Conversely, the rise of SNS and streaming culture has enabled people to express their true selves. The Saikou Project was established with the hope of creating a place where those who could not fit into the rails of general society can use their sensitivity and experiences as a weapon.

Sensitivity, unique sensibility, extreme focus, and the expressiveness cultivated in solitude can be major attractions in the world of entertainment. The Saikou Project aims not to deny 'weaknesses' or 'living difficulties,' but to transform them into expression.

In the '1st Saikou Project Idol Unit Debut Member Audition' held in October 2025, the project received over 100 inquiries from across Japan, leading to many participants training for their debut. Selected members performed their achievements at the 'Reiwa 8 Sun Music Nagoya Regular Presentation' held on May 31.

Goals of the Saikou Project
The audition does not only set 'becoming an idol' as the goal. Through stage activities, streaming, creative work, and community participation, it aims to create 'new points of contact with society.' In the future, the project envisions collaborating with alternative schools, welfare, and education sectors to build a 'model of social participation through expression.'

The audition is open to those with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or a history of social withdrawal. We encourage participation from those who 'could not fit into school or the workplace' or 'were afraid of being in front of others.'

The project introduces online guidance and staged selection processes to ensure participation in a comfortable manner, with activities progressing according to individual health conditions and characteristics.

The project aims for progression that allows individuals to showcase their unique personalities through singing, dancing, streaming, SNS, and creative work. Consequently, we are accepting applications not only for idol members but also for support staff, such as managers, and music creators.
