Hiroshi Koike Bridge Project - ODYSSEY will open an art complex called 'ODYSSEY CREATIVE CENTER (OCC)' in Tokyo's Fukagawa (Kiba) in July 2026, with director Hiroshi Koike serving as Creative Director.
KEY FIGURES
Centered on performing arts, OCC will be a creative hub where diverse activities—exhibitions, performances, workshops, talks, screenings, and international exchange—intersect on a daily basis. In addition to ongoing programming led by OCC itself, the center will actively seek co-productions and partnerships with artists and arts organizations presenting original works and projects.
A hub for creation and experimentation, built by artists
ODYSSEY CREATIVE CENTER (OCC) is an art complex founded in Tokyo's Fukagawa (Kiba) by director Hiroshi Koike.
Koike has created and presented stage works, collaborated with international artists, and led workshops across 42 countries to date. OCC will draw on this experience to become a space not just for presenting works, but for continuous creation, research, education, and exchange.
The facility will include 'ODYSSEY Cafe & Bar Dolphy,' fostering an environment where artists, creators, and local residents can gather, converse, and spark new creative ideas.
Words from Creative Director Hiroshi Koike
OCC is hope. I believe that in the years ahead, the human body and creativity will inevitably become central—because we are human. Not defense, but offense.
The body is fundamental. As beings who experience pain, joy, sorrow, suffering, and liberation, we possess a source of 'one-of-a-kind creativity' that AI can never reach. This intentional expression of irreplaceable individuality can become great hope for the world.
OCC exists to support such people and such places where new possibilities emerge. And to hope.
Launch with an Opening Festival in July
To mark OCC's launch, the 'ODYSSEY CREATIVE CENTER (OCC) Opening Festival' will be held from July 17 to 20, 2026.
Through live music, talks, performances, and film screenings, the festival will bring together cross-disciplinary artists to showcase the creative potential emerging from OCC.

Call for artists and arts organizations to co-create programs
OCC is not merely a rental space for presenting finished works.
We aim to develop diverse collaborations with artists and arts organizations who have original works or projects—ranging from co-creating new works and presenting existing pieces, to workshops, research initiatives, and ongoing series.
We welcome inquiries from those who resonate with OCC's vision and wish to jointly pursue artistic expression possessing an intensity that 'can only exist here and now.' Depending on the nature, scale, and purpose of the activity, collaboration can take one of three forms:
Co-production
Deep partnership involving shared production costs and audience development. A collaborative model sharing both risks and outcomes.
Affiliation (1)
Priority annual contract-based usage. Designed for organizations planning sustained programming.
Affiliation (2)
Project-based collaboration for single events. Prioritizes shared vision for specific performances or events.
Details of co-production and affiliation will be discussed and finalized based on the specifics of the proposed project, as well as the activity's content, scale, and purpose.
