Healthcare professionals are facing unprecedented pressure, including responding to patient suffering, navigating complex healthcare systems, and dealing with incessant demands from their surroundings. In this environment, many leaders in medical settings lament that "next-generation leaders are not being nurtured," "cross-departmental collaboration is not functioning," and "resistance to change is strong."

| Margaret Moore Profile

She founded Wellcoaches Corporation, a coaching education institution for healthcare professionals, and has trained over 16,000 coaches in more than 50 countries worldwide. As a co-founder of the Institute of Coaching, established at McLean Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, she has led the funding of coaching research and the integration of scientific knowledge.

Furthermore, she was involved in the establishment of the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) with the aim of normalizing the practice of coaching in the U.S. healthcare community, dedicating her efforts to building a foundation for the formal utilization of coaching in medical settings. Currently, she continues to advocate and work at a policy level to establish insurance reimbursement routes for coaching in medical practice.

Co-authored the peer-reviewed book 'Coaching Psychology Manual' (Wolters Kluwer, 130,000 copies sold), and from Harvard Health, 'Organize Your Mind, Organize Your Life' (current title 'Train Your Brain'), and 'Organize Your Emotions, Optimize Your Life'. Co-edited and contributed chapters to 'Coaching in Medical Education' by the American Medical Association (AMA), published by Elsevier. She is also a co-author of 'The Science of Good Leadership: Nine ways to expand your impact' (2025) published by Berrett Koehler.
