KOLG Inc. has announced that its BIM/CIM cloud platform, 'KOLC+,' now supports a 2D markup function within its digital twin environment. This feature enhancement enables users to directly write comments and instructions with a pen tool on both BIM/CIM models and point cloud data. The created markups are shareable, reviewable, and re-editable among stakeholders, contributing to more efficient on-site communication and faster feedback cycles.

Previously, the 'Integrated App' in KOLC+ could save markups as static images, but their non-editable nature posed a challenge for practical use. This update introduces a new system where markup information is saved as part of the 'View' function, allowing for subsequent editing. This also enables users to instantly switch between multiple markups for preview, significantly improving review workflow efficiency.

This development provides users the flexibility to choose between 3D or 2D for adding comments based on site needs, enhancing operational flexibility within the BIM/CIM workflow. Furthermore, the update allows for the creation of private, personal views, enabling individual team members to independently use the digital twin space for measurements and placement studies.

Pricing starts at JPY 50,000 per month (excluding tax), which includes 100GB of storage, 100 users, and the integrated app for two sites. There is no initial setup fee.

KOLC+ is a BIM/CIM cloud platform for integrating, sharing, and utilizing BIM/CIM models and point clouds. It is used by over 500 companies and also functions as an Information Sharing System (ASP) for government bodies like the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). It is also a certified subsidy-eligible software under MLIT's 'Architecture GX/DX Promotion Project.'
