20 'Possible Stories' Created by Costume Designer Tomoko Atarashi and Emerging Creators: COMO Inc. 20th Anniversary Project 'reversible' Launches

COMO Inc. (HQ: Kawaguchi, Saitama; Representative: Tomoko Atarashi) launched its year-long anniversary project, 'COMO Inc. 20th reversible,' on April 14, 2026, to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary and representative Tomoko Atarashi’s 30-year career.

Atarashi, who holds high-level technical skills in completing everything from pattern-making to sewing, and who has been training aspiring costume creators since 2025, has launched this project as a culmination of her journey. Together with emerging creators in their 20s whose talent she admires, and 20 actors she has met throughout her career, they aim to expose the 'other side' of creativity.

■ PROJECT CONCEPT: 'reversible'
The stage is set in the worlds of stories we know well. By gathering 20 tales—such as Grimm's fairy tales, Andersen’s fairy tales, and myths—the project focuses on sides that were not depicted or creates fictional characters that might have existed in those worlds.

■ THE CREATIVE TRINITY
Produced by Tomoko Atarashi, the project is built through close collaboration between:
- Kanna Wakasugi (Script Writer): Deconstructs existing stories and writes the plots.
- Tomoko Atarashi (Costume Creator): Embodies the worldview through costumes.
- Rin Okuno (Photographer / Movie Director): Captures the life of the characters wearing the costumes.
