Event Experience Details

1. Opening Act (Theater Performance)

There will be an opening act at the Hikiyama Museum Square, the meeting place. It's a comedic drama about townspeople scrambling over a Goshuinjo during the time when Toyotomi Hideyoshi governed Nagahama.

Performances are scheduled four times: 10:00 / 11:00 / 13:00 / 14:00.

2. Interactive Mystery Solving with Cast

The mission is to collect clues by talking to townspeople actors hidden throughout the city and restore the torn Goshuinjo. Receiving hints, participants tour the city and aim for the Daitoji Sanmon (main gate), the goal.

3. Nagahama's Townscape Itself as a Stage

The venue spans from Hikiyama Museum to Tsuchida Kanamonoten, Shikike, Kanaya Park, and Daitoji Sanmon. Participants can experience Nagahama in the Sengoku period by walking through the historical landscape of the merchant town that has continued since Hideyoshi's era.

A New Form of Tourism Born from Regional Collaboration

Participants take a 40-60 minute town walk to travel back to the Sengoku period. This free event can be easily enjoyed by anyone, whether participating alone, with family, friends, or as a couple.

NPO Hamacul, the organizer, aims to add depth to the Nagahama tourism experience by reinterpreting local historical resources as new entertainment. With an eye on future serialization, a special performance is also planned for September in co-sponsorship with the Biwako Arts and Culture Foundation.
