Codmon Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yoshinori Koike) announces that two childcare facilities in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, have introduced our ICT service for childcare, education, and therapy facilities, "CoDMON" (hereinafter referred to as "Codmon"), starting July 1, 2026.

According to Miki City, the introduction of Codmon will enable parents to check absence notifications, newsletters, and other information via smartphone, thereby improving convenience for parents and realizing a fulfilling childcare environment through ICT.

This brings the total number of municipalities in Hyogo Prefecture where Codmon is used in childcare and education facilities to 18.

*The number of contracted municipalities within the prefecture is as of June 1, 2026.

Background and Objectives for Introduction in Miki City

Currently, Miki City faces challenges where communication regarding changes in childcare hours from parents is primarily by phone, and it can be difficult to get through at certain times.

【Objectives of Introduction】

Improvement of convenience for parents

Realization of a fulfilling childcare environment

Codmon Services Introduced in Miki City

Among Codmon's various services, the following will be introduced at the two childcare facilities in Miki City:

【1】Notifications from Parents for Lateness, Absence, Pick-up, and Extended Stays

Parents can apply for notifications regarding lateness, absence, pick-up, and extended stays during drop-off/pick-up times through the parent app. Parents can instantly report to the facility without worrying about the time, and the facility can receive these reports in real-time on tablets or other devices without needing to answer phone calls. This feature enhances convenience for both parents and facilities.

【2】Mass Distribution of Announcements

Information can be easily and simply distributed to parents by selecting classes or children and choosing from pre-registered templates to write the message. In addition to email distribution, information can be delivered through various methods such as smartphone notifications and in-app messages.

【3】Communication Notebook

The communication notebook for sharing children's progress is digitized. Parents can report their child's situation at home using the smartphone app with selectable options, minimizing the effort required for input. The facility can provide feedback on the child's progress at the facility, utilizing photos.

【4】Attendance Management

By scanning a two-dimensional code to record children's arrival and departure times, the system automates tasks such as creating attendance records and calculating fees for extended childcare. Parents can share their child's attendance status with family members using the smartphone app.

Comment from Miki City Representative

"With the introduction of this ICT service, we expect to improve convenience and reduce the burden for parents by allowing them to check absence notifications and various announcements on their smartphones. Furthermore, by reducing the administrative burden on facility staff and creating an environment where they can spend more fulfilling time interacting with the children, we aim to achieve high-quality childcare and education that is tailored to each individual child."

(Ms. Iwamura, Education and Childcare Division, Education Promotion Department, Miki City Board of Education)
