Kobe Suma Sea World (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, Director: Yoshiaki Nakano), a facility operated by Granvista Hotel & Resort Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Yukio Arai), will hold its summer-limited splash event "Water Splash Festival" starting August 1, 2026 (Sat).
The "Water Splash Festival" is back and powered up this summer! This event will feature a special stage in the center of Sea World Plaza, where dancers will perform dynamic dance routines and engage in water gun battles with visitors. The water cannons on stage have doubled from last year (to 4 units), and powerful fog effects have been newly added. The overwhelming amount of water and fog pouring from all directions will cool down and energize the entire venue.
Additionally, a new "cool" experience called "Suma-Sii Whiteout" will be implemented. In "Suma-Sii Whiteout," Sea World Plaza will be enveloped in mist, transforming into a fantastical space where visibility is reduced to almost nothing. The sprayed mist will lower the perceived temperature by touching the body, providing a fun and cool experience even in the midsummer outdoors.
For those who want to cool down even more, we recommend viewing from the front row during the "Orca Performance." During the "Orca Performance," a summer-specific event called "Tail Burst" is being held. Using their large tail fins, approximately 1.5m wide, the orcas will splash a large amount of water onto the audience seats.
Kobe Suma Sea World invites you to visit and enjoy the summer, getting soaked and refreshed!
