Gaiax Partners with Hiroshima AI Club to Dispatch Free AI Education Instructors to High Schools in Hiroshima Prefecture

Gaiax Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yuji Ueda; Securities Code: 3775; hereinafter "Gaiax"), which develops AI education programs in collaboration with industry, academia, and government, has been commissioned by the Hiroshima AI Club (*) Operating Consortium to implement the "Hiroshima AI Club Generative AI Experience Workshop On-site Class Program" for high schools and colleges of technology in Hiroshima Prefecture.

In this program, generative AI experts will be dispatched as instructors to schools, providing an opportunity to systematically learn about proper usage and risk management in a short period of "one hour," incorporating the latest trends and specific examples.

This marks the third consecutive year and third time that our company has collaborated with the Hiroshima AI Club Operating Consortium to implement programs for high school students in Hiroshima Prefecture.

■ Background of Program Implementation: Generative AI Usage Rate Among High School Students Reaches 73.7%
According to a Gakken survey, the generative AI usage rate among high school students has reached 73.7%. However, challenges remain regarding whether students correctly understand and utilize risks, and whether schools can sufficiently secure educational opportunities. Just as the internet has become commonplace, mastering generative AI will be essential in future society. Therefore, through this program, we aim to provide an opportunity to raise AI literacy across the entire school.

① The Appeal of Generative AI and How to Deal with Risks
A workshop that considers from multiple angles how generative AI impacts our lives, both positively and negatively. It can be safely implemented even if internet connectivity or device usage environment is not fully prepared.
② What is Good Prompt Design, Explored Through Image Generation
A workshop to learn the concept of "prompts" for manipulating AI and correct design methods through the experience of reproducing a given image. An environment where generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) can be used is required.
Target | High schools and colleges of technology in Hiroshima Prefecture (for colleges of technology, only 1st to 3rd-year students are eligible).
Recruitment Slots | 9 schools (by lottery. Priority given to schools that have not participated in the Hiroshima AI Club before).

To foster the AI literacy necessary in a rapidly changing society, they develop AI-themed education programs and teaching materials in collaboration with industry, academia, and government nationwide, targeting students from elementary school to university.
What Schools Need to Prepare | ・Projector and screen, or large monitor. ・(For large venues like gymnasiums/auditoriums) Microphone. ・(For image generation programs) Students' personal PCs/tablet devices *Account registration and preparation for generative AI tools are required in advance.
Other | ・Photos may be taken during the program for public relations and reporting purposes. If there are individuals who should not be photographed, please inform the instructor on the day. ・After the program, participants will be asked to complete a simple feedback form (survey).
