Supervised by Japanese Chef Makoto Okuwa, a specialist in Edomae-style sushi, this specialty restaurant offers a beautiful harmony of power and delicacy in its dishes. With 25 years of culinary experience, Chef Okuwa proposes a new world of Edomae sushi that is rooted in Japanese tradition while incorporating modern sensibilities. At Makoto Ocean, the essence of Japanese cuisine is expressed through playful and artistic presentations, providing a dining experience that is both sophisticated and approachable. Details have been carefully crafted to cater to the wide range of guests traveling to Japan with Princess Cruises.

At Makoto Ocean, guests can enjoy Okuwa's signature items such as nigiri, sashimi, truffle salmon, snow crab hand rolls, and toro tartare, available à la carte or in a course style. Furthermore, original cocktails with unique arrangements to complement the food are available, such as the "Genmai Negroni" using Japanese ingredients and the "Ancient Flower" cocktail featuring yuzu juice and doburoku (unrefined sake).
