Open House Kansai Branch, a group company of Open House Group Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Ryosuke Fukuoka; hereinafter "the Company"), in cooperation with the second-year students of Tennoji Junior High School, Osaka City Board of Education, and OEN (Osaka city Education Network), conducted a problem-solving-oriented inquiry class to learn practical business thinking from May to June 2026.
This class was held as part of career education, aiming for students to learn the "significance of working as a member of society" and to proactively think about their own future paths. In this initiative, rather than simply introducing professions, students engaged in project-based learning where they formulated their own solutions in groups, using the Company's corporate philosophy and the process of solving social issues as themes.
Main Content of the Class (May-June 2026)
This project was implemented over approximately two months with supportive guidance in the following three steps:
First Session (May 8): Sharing Corporate Philosophy and Social Issues
The Company provided an explanation of the current state of the real estate industry, its business model, and the role of sales positions, delivering a lecture on the "significance of working" interspersed with quizzes on business terms. Subsequently, the main theme of this project, "Developing Strategies to Deliver Homes to More People," was presented as a challenge. Students actively exchanged opinions through group work, organized key points using sticky notes, worked on embodying their ideas, and finally presented a summary of their conceived ideas.
Mid-term Presentation (May 26): Feedback from a Professional Perspective and Course Correction
In response to each group's progress report, the Company offered advice to further enhance the quality of their proposals, such as the logical basis for target selection and methods for calculating specific market prices. Based on this feedback, the students deepened their plans. During the Q&A session, active questions were raised regarding housing trends and popular areas, demonstrating a high level of motivation in tackling the challenge.
Final Presentation (June 16): Achievement Presentation and Selection Presentation
Final presentations were held by all four groups. Each group presented persuasively, reflecting the feedback from the previous session, and delivered their presentations confidently without relying on scripts. This learning emphasized the perspective of how problem-solving contributes to "the ideal state of oneself and society (Well-being)". The selected representative team presented in the auditorium in front of the entire grade, showcasing the culmination of their learning.
The Company will continue to actively promote collaboration with educational institutions and support the career development of children.
