L-Line Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Katsuhito Asano) announces that Takako Sugimura assumed the position of Outside Director on March 31, 2026.
Ms. Sugimura has a proven track record of leading the management restructuring of Japan Business Lab Co., Ltd. as its President and Representative Director, achieving profitability in a short period. Furthermore, as a well-being consultant, she has advocated her own unique theories to bring out the potential of each individual and has supported the development of many human resources.
Under the advice of Ms. Sugimura, who is well-versed in management and human resource development, we will permeate the concept of well-being within the group and accelerate the establishment of a sustainable growth foundation centered on human capital.
Background of the Appointment
Since its founding in 2008, L-Line has challenged the structural issues of the construction industry, namely the improvement of productivity and profitability, under the management philosophy of "field-oriented" and "innovation." Since 2019, the company has actively pursued M&A. Since 2021, we have been expanding our domain by combining the expertise of each group company and starting "comprehensive framework construction," which involves accepting bulk orders for all framework construction, including scaffolding, earthwork, formwork, rebar, and steel frames.
Currently, with the increase in group companies, instilling a unified mindset and developing leaders have become urgent tasks. By utilizing Ms. Sugimura's expertise in leader development, we aim to build a system that not only relies on conventional training and HR systems but also originates from reforming the mindset of each executive and spreading it throughout the entire organization.
The perspective of well-being, which refers to satisfaction and fulfillment in life, has become an important modern indicator, as seen in Goal 3 of the SDGs. In corporate management as well, it is attracting attention as a crucial management indicator to achieve employee retention, productivity improvement, and sustainable organizational growth.
The L-Line Group will maximize its value in future PMI (Post-Merger Integration) processes while strengthening the solidarity of group companies with diverse backgrounds added through M&A, centering on the perspective of well-being.
