Embody Japan Inc. (Representative Director: Moé Kameyama) will be responsible for planning and operating a culture-experience childcare service within the Tokyo Children's Art and Culture Platform "TOKYO Culture Debut," promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture.

'TOKYO Culture Debut' ~Connecting diverse entities, 5 functions for co-creation~

This initiative is implemented as part of "TOKYO Culture Debut," launched with the aim of delivering art and cultural experiences to more children.

Through the culture-experience childcare service, we aim to create opportunities for children to encounter arts and culture, fostering their interests and sensibilities, while also establishing an environment where parents can appreciate arts and culture with peace of mind.

As the first phase, a program at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo will feature activities linked to the ongoing exhibitions and art concepts.
In the program, children will enjoy "their own expressions" through free creation and dialogue on themes such as color, materials, sound, and bodily expression, according to their age and developmental stage.

Our childcare, which emphasizes dialogue with materials and improvisation rather than character toys or one-way play, is influenced by European early childhood education philosophies.

Using cardboard, paper, natural materials, etc., we value "how children feel" rather than "what they make" – this is the culture-experience childcare that Embody Japan aims for.

Moé Kameyama, the representative, is an early childhood education researcher who has studied early childhood education and art education in European countries, including the UK.

"Encounters with arts and culture are important experiences not just for adults, but also for children. In this initiative, we are not only creating an environment where parents can appreciate with peace of mind, but also designing it so that children themselves can spend 'time feeling, creating, and expressing' rather than 'time waiting.' Starting with this first phase at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, we hope to expand this new system that connects cultural institutions with child-rearing families."

Embody Japan has previously conducted numerous event childcare services at museums, classical concerts, and corporate events, prioritizing experiential value.

We are also working to expand opportunities for cultural facilities to attract visitors and create new touchpoints with families.

Moving forward, through collaboration with cultural facilities, local governments, and corporations, we will continue to promote the creation of a new social infrastructure that does not separate child-rearing and culture.

When using the culture-experience childcare service at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, you must present a valid exhibition ticket (for one parent)*.
*Invitation tickets, MOT Passport, disability certificates, etc., are also acceptable.

【Usage Fees】
500 yen (tax included) per child.

【Usage Guide】
The culture-experience childcare service will offer programs such as art workshops, picture book reading concerts, physical play, and light play.

What to bring: Child's drink (milk, water, tea, etc.), change of clothes, diapers, hand towel.
