'GENI,' an educational toy brand developed by Ed.Inter Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture; CEO: Takahiro Narai), a wooden educational toy maker born from early childhood classrooms, will begin shipping two new items, 'Gaogao Kurukuru' and 'Forest Lunch Plate,' starting Friday, May 29, 2026.

'Gaogao Kurukuru' is a wooden pull toy featuring a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a highly popular dinosaur among children. When pulled, the egg placed on its back spins around as it follows along... this mysterious movement captures the child's gaze and interest.

'Why does it spin?' Such a question naturally arises, and the play transforms into 'observation'—this is the charm of this product. Furthermore, because the appearance changes depending on how the egg is placed or the speed at which it moves, it creates an 'experience of discovery' where children gain insights through their own experimentation. These small trials and errors repeated during play build the foundation of thinking skills.

Moreover, by utilizing the wide-opening mouth design to pretend to be a dinosaur roaring 'Gaoo!', the play naturally expands into imaginative role-play. Children can enjoy both the fun of movement and play that engages their imagination.

'Forest Lunch Plate' is a wooden play food set that gives shape exactly to what children 'want to try.' A kid's meal spread across a plate brings out the excitement of feeling, 'This is what I wanted to do!' the moment they see it. Arranging it on the table and pretending to be a shopkeeper saying 'Welcome!', or interacting by asking 'Which one will you eat first?'. From the moment they start playing, children take on a 'role' and begin to create a story themselves.

The tactile feedback of cutting food with a knife, the movement of twirling spaghetti with a fork, the gesture of holding a cup to drink—being able to reproduce these actions they see during everyday meals with their own hands leads to great satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment for a child. Furthermore, the 'joy of choosing,' such as 'Shall we have the bear hamburger today?' or 'Which soup do you want?', ensures the play never gets monotonous, acting as a mechanism that makes them want to repeat it over and over.

This product was planned based on 'restaurant pretend play,' which was the most popular in a survey (60 respondents) on the GENI official online shop. Because it's a play concept born from children's 'aspirations,' they become engrossed and enjoy it repeatedly.

It also serves as a trigger to foster familiarity and interest in food, and a special feature is that time for food education and communication naturally arises during play.

These two new products approach children's growth from different angles.

While 'Gaogao Kurukuru' is 'play that enjoys the wonder of movement,' the 'Forest Lunch Plate' is 'play that expands the world while recreating daily life.'
