Background of Development

In recent years, in addition to rising construction costs due to soaring prices of building materials and labor costs, housing sizes are becoming smaller (more compact) in line with improvements in housing performance, such as the mandatory compliance with energy-saving standards (2025) and the ZEH standard obligation target (2030).

On the other hand, architects and designers from architectural firms and the like tend to prefer "reducing lines as much as possible" and dislike unnecessary lines and steps. They design spaces to look cleaner and larger by making door heights reach the ceiling or making frames inconspicuous. However, achieving these through conventional on-site construction requires high skills from carpenters and a lot of construction time, posing a challenge for installation companies.

Against this backdrop, this year's DOORETUS was developed with the concept of "noiseless spaces that create 'white space,'" featuring noiseless doors and storage fixtures with invisible frames.

Reducing unevenness also makes it harder for dust to accumulate, improving "ease of cleaning" on a daily basis.

Improved workability: The frame width is set to accommodate wall thickness, allowing you to choose a size according to the wall thickness at the site. It supports smooth installation by eliminating the need for frame processing compared to on-site custom work.

Provides items that achieve both sophisticated design and workability, which can only be realized with an "overlay frame" for storage fixtures.

Door and wall sit flush: The frame is attached to the inside of the door, so the frame is not visible from the front, and the wall surface and door surface sit flush. By providing dedicated frame materials, the effort of on-site custom work is reduced, leading to improved workability.

Storage hinged doors support 2-leaf and 3-leaf configurations: Previous storage double-acting doors could only accommodate one set of double doors. The new overlay type can be set up for 2 or 3 leaves, allowing even large-capacity wall storage to blend seamlessly into the space like "just a wall." It does not create a sense of oppression even in large spaces like living rooms.

Beautiful finish with S-type skirting board: By using the S-type skirting board in conjunction, the finish with the overlay frame becomes even more beautiful, enhancing the noiseless space. It facilitates smooth fine adjustments such as skirting board butt joints and miter joints on-site, creating a beautiful reveal.
