Jena Academy (English name: Jena Academy, operated by We Are Education Co., Ltd.) has rebranded and reopened its calligraphy classroom "Koishikawa Shojuku" as "Jena Academy Japanese & Calligraphy Class - Koishikawa Shojuku" starting from April 2026.

This classroom offers an educational program aimed at fostering children with strong writing skills through a new learning approach: "Japanese Language x Calligraphy."

■Background of Course Renewal
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

In recent years, the emphasis on descriptive questions in junior high school entrance exams, particularly for prestigious schools, has been increasing year by year.

Beyond simply memorizing knowledge,

・The ability to accurately read and understand problem statements
・The ability to organize conditions and extract key points
・The ability to explain logically

there is a growing demand for comprehensive writing skills, such as those listed above.

Furthermore, descriptive questions are increasing in science and social studies as well, making "the ability to write" a fundamental skill common to all subjects.

On the other hand,

such challenges are faced by many students.

Recognizing the necessity of systematically addressing these issues from an early stage, we have opened this classroom.
