The reality that the "gap is decided" immediately after enrollment

In combined junior high-high schools, classes progress at an unimaginable speed right from the start. It is assumed that students will understand advanced content in a short period using difficult textbooks such as "New Treasure" for English and "Taikei Sugaku" (Systematic Mathematics) for math.

As a result, we receive many comments such as, "I stumbled at the beginning and developed a苦手意識 (feeling of weakness/dislike)," "The classes are so fast I can't keep up with review," and "A huge gap formed in just one month." This shows that the "initial understanding" in junior high school greatly influences what follows.

In response to these challenges, Jena Academy has launched a spring course where students can systematically master important units in English and math before enrollment. This course is not just a simple head start; it emphasizes bringing students to a level where they can approach their classes with confidence immediately after enrollment, through structural explanations that focus on understanding "why it is so" and a curriculum based on the pace of combined junior high-high schools.
