By getting a head start on important topics in English and mathematics before entering junior high, you will build a solid foundation to ensure a smooth start to your studies.

The Reality that the "Gap is Determined" Immediately After Enrollment

At combined junior high and high schools, classes progress at an unimaginable speed right from the start. It is assumed that students will quickly grasp advanced concepts using difficult textbooks like "New Treasure" for English and "Taikei Sugaku" for mathematics. As a result, we receive many comments such as, "I stumbled at the beginning and developed a苦手意識 (feeling of weakness)," "The classes are too fast, and I can't keep up with reviews," and "A huge gap formed in just one month." This shows that the initial understanding in junior high greatly influences subsequent performance.

In response to these challenges, Jena Academy has launched a spring course that allows students to systematically learn key English and math concepts before enrollment. This course is not just about getting ahead; it emphasizes bringing students to a level where they can approach their classes with confidence right after enrollment, through structural explanations that focus on understanding "why it is so" and a curriculum based on the pace of combined junior high and high schools.
