■ Background of Course Development:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The reality that "the gap is decided" immediately after enrollment.
In integrated junior high and high schools, classes proceed at an unimaginable pace right from the start, and it is assumed that students will understand advanced content in a short period using difficult textbooks such as "New Treasure" for English and "Taikei Sugaku" (Systematic Mathematics) for math.
As a result, we receive many comments such as, "I stumbled at the beginning and developed a dislike for the subject," "The classes are too fast, and I can't keep up with the review," and "A big gap formed in just one month." This shows that the initial understanding in junior high school greatly influences subsequent learning.
In response to these challenges, Jena Academy has launched a spring course that allows students to systematically master important units in English and mathematics before enrollment. This course is not just about getting a head start; it emphasizes bringing students to a level where they can approach classes with confidence right after enrollment, through structural explanations that focus on understanding "why it is so" and a curriculum based on the pace of integrated junior high and high schools.
