India Government Textiles Secretary Visits Japan: Seminar on India Textile Industry Business Trends and Development to be Held on June 17 in Osaka

The Nonprofit Organization Japan-India International Industrial Promotion Association (JIIPA) will hold a seminar on the Indian textile industry titled 'Business Trends and Development' on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Maidome Osaka (Chuo-ku, Osaka City) with special support from the Ministry of Textiles of the Government of India and the Embassy of India in Japan, and co-organized by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO). This seminar is part of the '3rd India Fashion & Lifestyle Show Osaka 2026' which introduces the latest trends in India's textile and fashion industry and the potential for Japan-India collaboration. Applications for participation are accepted via the web application form.

Background

This seminar is held in conjunction with the B2B trade exhibition focused on apparel, fashion, and lifestyle, the '3rd India Fashion & Lifestyle Show Osaka 2026' (June 17 to 19, 2026), co-organized by JIIPA and FIEO.

About 60 Indian brands and manufacturers not yet introduced to the Japanese market will exhibit, providing opportunities for differentiated products and valuable business negotiations for new supplier development.

The seminar is also held under the patronage of H.E. Ms. Nagma Mohamed Mallick, Ambassador of India to Japan, on the occasion of the visit of Ms. Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The theme is 'TEXTILES・FASHION・SUSTAINABILITY・INDIA×JAPAN', introducing the business trends and future development of the Indian textile industry and the potential for collaboration between Japan and India.
