The Semiconductor Industry Exhibition Executive Committee (Secretariat: Minato-ku, Tokyo, within Innovent Co., Ltd.) has decided to hold the region's largest specialized semiconductor exhibitions in three locations—Tokyo, Kyushu (Fukuoka), and Hokkaido (Sapporo)—in 2027 to support the further development of Japan's semiconductor industry and strengthen the supply chain. As the first event, the '1st [Tokyo] Semiconductor Industry Exhibition' will be held independently for the first time at Tokyo Big Sight West Hall from Wednesday, June 2 to Friday, June 4, 2027. Additionally, this week from Wednesday, June 10 to Friday, June 12, 2026, a 'Three Exhibition Joint Consultation Meeting' will be held at the venue of the '1st Semiconductor Industry Exhibition (within the Electronic Equipment Total Solution Exhibition 2026)' at Tokyo Big Sight. ■ Background ■ The Executive Committee previously held the '[Kyushu] Semiconductor Industry Exhibition' in September 2024 and October 2025 in the Kyushu region, where semiconductor-related companies are concentrated. These exhibitions aimed to contribute to the development and growth of the semiconductor industry in Kyushu and all of Japan, solving issues of 'human resource development' and 'supply chain resilience', and helping Kyushu become the 'center of the Asian semiconductor industry'. They were extremely successful. Responding to many requests for a Tokyo area exhibition, this week we are finally holding the '1st Semiconductor Industry Exhibition' as part of the 'Electronic Equipment Total Solution Exhibition 2026' at Tokyo Big Sight. Furthermore, driven by explosive market demand and the revitalization of the semiconductor industry across Japan, even before this week's exhibition opens, we have decided to completely spin off and step up to an independent debut at Tokyo Big Sight from the next event in 2027. As already announced, we have also decided to hold the exhibition in Hokkaido (Sapporo), where expectations are rising as a hub for cutting-edge semiconductor technology with the entry of Rapidus. In 2027, we will expand the scale to Japan's largest specialized semiconductor exhibition connecting the three major hubs of Tokyo, Kyushu, and Hokkaido.
