Anihatch Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo; Representative Director: Hideki Suzuki; hereinafter "Anihatch") will hold two online recruitment information sessions for the "FY2026 Animation In-betweening Basic Course Implementation Commissioned Project," entrusted by Kochi Prefecture, on Friday, May 15, 2026, and Sunday, May 17, 2026, to encourage more people to consider taking this course (please refer to the details below).
This project is implemented as part of the "Kochi Animation Project," promoted by Kochi Prefecture and local financial institutions in collaboration with industry, academia, government, and finance. Its aim is to establish a specialized animation education environment within the prefecture and to foster human resources capable of supporting future animation education.
■ Background and Objectives
Kochi Prefecture is promoting the "Kochi Animation Project" with the aim of attracting animation-related companies to the prefecture through the development of animation creators, thereby concentrating the animation industry within the prefecture, creating employment for young people and women, and revitalizing the regional industry.
Currently, major obstacles to nurturing animation talent in rural areas are "regional disparities in education" and "lack of specialized instructional personnel." To address these issues, this course introduces a hybrid educational approach that combines "online learning materials" for fundamental professional techniques and "in-person lectures" for practical guidance. We aim to create an environment where high learning effectiveness can be achieved even without resident experts, and promote the following "two pillars of development."
1. Nurturing Next-Generation Creators (for general public, including students)
Participants will acquire "in-betweening (douga)" techniques, the foundation of animation production and drawing skills essential for all drawing professions.
They will develop not only drawing skills but also the "power to make drawings move," which is applicable in professional settings.
2. Nurturing Education Support Personnel (for educators and aspiring instructors)
In addition to acquiring "in-betweening" techniques, participants will be lectured on teaching methods and communication for learners, including children. By training "teachers (support personnel)" with specialized skills to support instructors in future animation education in the prefecture, we aim to establish a sustainable educational system.
1. Recruitment Information Sessions (Online)
