Voice: From a Tool of Communication to a Media for New Experiences

Traditionally, narration has evolved in visual works like television programs and advertisements as a mode of expression to convey information more richly.

Over our 20 years of managing top-tier narrators, we have realized that narration possesses a potential that extends far beyond mere information delivery. A voice acts on the listener's emotions and imagination not only through words, but also through pause, resonance, and warmth. This capability holds the power to create new experiential value across various fields, transcending typical visual direction.

We wanted to re-evaluate this intrinsic value of the voice and apply narration to society not just as a technique of conveying messages, but as an expressive method for creating experiences. To explore and present these new possibilities, we established the 'Koe Yohaku' project.

What is 'Narration × Project: Koe Yohaku'?

It is a project that designs voice-centered experiences across various sectors including education, corporate, and regional development.

Through the voices of professional narrators, the project guides listeners to discover hidden meanings and ignite their imagination within paintings or physical spaces. We named the project 'Koe Yohaku' (literally 'Voice Margin' or 'Voice Blank Space') to reflect our hope of designing spaces where listeners can build their own interpretations and stories from their own senses, rather than being given definitive answers.

While listening to stories told by professional narrators, children will freely visualize and draw imaginary creatures. It does not matter if they cannot draw them perfectly, as this program is not about finding the correct answers. What is important is their individual feeling and perception.

We provide an experience that unlocks the imagination, made possible by professional voice experts.
