The pickleball community "PickleBASE" (Attention Inc.) will hold "Japan Pickleball Festa 2026," Japan's largest experiential event, for three days on Saturday, July 11, Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Esforta Arena Hachioji (Hachioji City, Tokyo).
This event is a large-scale event centered around pickleball, a racket sport with a rapidly increasing number of players worldwide, utilizing up to 24 courts. It will feature an experiential festival where visitors can participate as "participants," focusing on three pillars: experiences for beginners, player interaction, and team competitions.
[Background of the Event]
Pickleball is a sport that has rapidly spread, mainly in the United States, and the number of players is exploding worldwide, including in Southeast Asia.
In Japan, too, the player population has increased by approximately 7 times year-on-year to 330,000 (according to Pickleball One research), attracting rapid attention.
On the other hand, there are challenges such as "I'm interested but have no opportunity to experience it" and "There are few places where I can play continuously."
Against this backdrop, this event aims to design a flow from "knowing" to "being hooked" and from "individual experience" to "community connection," thereby becoming a new starting point for the popularization of pickleball.
[Event Outline]
■ July 11 (Sat) Friendly Day | From "knowing" to "being hooked."
Mainly consists of experiential programs for beginners and first-timers.
We have created an environment where everyone, from adults to children, can participate with peace of mind, and designed a flow where they can experience the fun of the game in 30 minutes.
Even if you participate alone, you can get excited, encouraging that "first step."
It will be a day where your first experience turns into "I want to do it again!"
■ July 18 (Sat) Festa Day | An experiential festival immersing you in pickleball
An participatory festival where you can pursue what you love, such as experiences, interaction (open play), and spectating.
Paddle trials, lessons/clinics, community introductions, and exhibitions/sales of related products are also prepared,
allowing you to fully experience the charm of pickleball.
■ July 19 (Sun) Team Cup | Competition turns into connection.
A team competition will be held with various teams from all over the country participating.
By designing interaction that transcends competition levels and affiliations, a place will be created where new connections are born through competition. After the tournament, the courts will be open until night for open play, where anyone can participate, and interaction will continue throughout the day.
■ July 19 (Sun) Leaders Summit | Communities also connect.
Operators of pickleball communities and clubs from all over the country will gather to share information and exchange opinions on future popularization. It is positioned as a place to support the development of pickleball not only as a sport but also as a community culture.
*Food stalls and kitchen cars are also scheduled to open during the event period.
You can easily participate with family and friends in a festival-like atmosphere. (Admission is free)

[Organizer's Comment]
"While interest in pickleball is rapidly growing in Japan, opportunities for those who 'want to try it' to actually experience it are still not fully established.
Japan Pickleball Festa 2026 aims to broaden the 'entry point' for beginners to easily participate, while also designing it for experienced players to get even more hooked and enthusiastic.
Furthermore, it will be linked to community-based initiatives, such as Hachioji City's major tournament 'Yamayuri Cup' being held on the same day at the same venue.
Based on the encounters and enthusiasm generated over these three days, we will create new value for pickleball."
