At Yokohama Co., Ltd. to Begin Joint Demonstration Experiment of Unmanned Sharing Service Utilizing Toyota's Compact Mobility "C+walk T (Standing Type)" and "C+walk S (Sitting Type)"

At Yokohama Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 7-1 Sakae-cho, Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama; Representatives: Takehiko Ueno, Kanji Miyahara, hereinafter "At Yokohama") will conduct a demonstration experiment of the unmanned sharing service "TOYOTA Petit RIDE" utilizing Toyota Motor Corporation's (hereinafter "Toyota") compact mobility "C+walk T (standing type)" and "C+walk S (sitting type)" in Yamashita Park and Yamashita Pier area from Tuesday, May 19, 2026, to Friday, July 17, 2026. The purpose of this demonstration is to verify "improved accessibility" in the Yokohama central waterfront area and "creation of mobility experience" through mobility services. The Yokohama central waterfront area (Rinko Park to Yamashita Park area) has a wide tourist route of approximately 5km, and the burden of movement is an issue for the elderly, families with children, and tourists. On the other hand, existing personal mobility rental services are based on manned operations, and the increase in labor costs and operating costs is a challenge. In this demonstration, by introducing an unmanned rental service utilizing Toyota's compact mobility "C+walk T (standing type)" and "C+walk S (sitting type)," we aim to simultaneously achieve "provision of easy-to-use mobility for everyone" and "smart operation and efficiency." We also intend to link this initiative with the consideration of forming a mobility hub in line with the waterfront concept promoted by Yokohama City.
