The Ascott Limited (Ascott), a hospitality group headquartered in Singapore with over 1,000 properties in more than 40 countries and 230 cities, and its Japanese subsidiary, The Ascott Japan Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, President Christian Baudler), will host a colorful flower art object workshop with artist Norihiko Kamei starting in August 2026 at Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo (General Manager: Takuto Yoshida).
This program is a collaborative effort with "Otonami," a service providing high-quality experiences for adults operated by J-CAT Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, CEO: Ryu Iikura), and will be held monthly from August 2026 to March 2027.
"Ascott Soirée," a signature experiential program of Ascott's brands, offers opportunities to engage with various arts centered around art, culture, crafts, and food. Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo, which features rooms with full kitchens and laundry facilities, proposes stays that enrich the senses by incorporating art and creativity into daily life under the concept of "Art of Living."
"Otonami" provides opportunities to encounter the true value of Japanese culture and craftsmanship through high-quality experiences for adults.
This collaboration was realized through the synergy of both parties sharing the desire to deliver "essential and valuable experiences."
This program is a special event where participants can enjoy creating palm-sized art objects with artist and ikebana master Norihiko Kamei, surrounded by a sense of tranquility and openness that makes you forget you are in the city center, in rooms overlooking the Imperial Palace gardens and skyscrapers.
Participants who book this program can choose to create one of two types of art objects: a "scenic style" that three-dimensionally reflects natural landscapes on floating stones, or a "miniature garden" that creates a small world within a paulownia box. Using colorful preserved and dried flowers, as well as gold, silver, and pink gold materials specially prepared for this program, participants will give shape to the scenery in their minds. You can enjoy a rich moment of creating unseen landscapes while conversing with Mr. Kamei in the relaxed atmosphere of Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo.
The venue is a Japanese-Western style 2-bedroom room with an Imperial Palace view, exclusively available to Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo's lodging guests. The open and airy interior is equipped with a full kitchen and a washer-dryer, creating a sophisticated space where daily life and the extraordinary merge.
This program is scheduled to run until March 2027, with reservations for sessions up to October now open from today, July 2nd. Information on dates and reservations for November and beyond will be available starting mid-September, so please check the collaboration page for details.
Enjoy an exclusive, heartwarming time spent with art in a special space in the heart of the city, where you can feel tranquility and greenery.
