■ Enhancing the Value of Tourism Experience and Building Community Connections
This project was launched as an initiative to solve tourism challenges in the Arashiyama region and achieve sustainable tourism. Under the call of Mr. Takuya Furukawa, owner of the long-established Arashiyama ryokan "Togetsutei," with the endorsement of shrines and temples in the Saga-Arashiyama area, and utilizing national subsidies, the community worked together to develop and produce it.
Through this app, the history, culture, and feelings towards nature that locals have cherished are carefully introduced as stories. For inbound tourists, by carefully conveying the regional background and values, we aim to encourage understanding and respect, leading to improved tourist manners. Furthermore, by providing it to local students and school trip participants, we hope to foster attachment and pride in the region, leading to the development of human resources who will support Arashiyama in the future.
Not just "visiting," but "understanding and empathizing."
Through such a new tourism experience, we will cultivate true Arashiyama fans.
■ Towards the Realization of Sustainable Tourism ~ Contribution to Arashiyama's Environmental Conservation and Landscape Protection
To support environmental conservation and landscape protection initiatives, such as cherry tree planting and beautification activities, which have been spearheaded by the Arashiyama Hoshokai and the Arashiyama Ryokan Association, this app will introduce a mechanism where some content is paid, and its revenue is returned as activity funds.
By supporting long-standing community efforts like cherry tree planting and landscape maintenance, we will connect the beauty of Arashiyama to the future.

Arashiyama is a beautiful place even just by gazing at the scenery, but through the audio guide, by learning about the history, culture, and feelings towards nature that reside in the land, the travel time will become deeper and richer. Walking as your heart desires, listening to the sound of the wind, the light, the scent, and the scenery you encounter by chance. When stories are layered upon it, ordinary landscapes become learning, stimulation, and a warm journey that gently lights up your heart. I would be delighted if this audio guide could be an opportunity for you to not just "see" Arashiyama, but to feel respect for nature, the weight of history, and the preciousness of inherited culture. I would also like visitors from overseas to definitely listen to it. I hope that through Arashiyama, you will feel the charm of Japan more deeply and come to love Japan even more.
