AINEX Corporation (Headquarters: Nakamura-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; CEO: Hiro Nori Aizumi; hereinafter referred to as 'the Company') signed a 'Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement on Regional Decarbonization and Disaster Resilience Enhancement' with Tokai Town, Kitashitara District, Aichi Prefecture (Mayor: Takaharu Murakami) on June 15, 2026. The signing ceremony was held on the same day at the Tokai Town Hall.

The purpose of this agreement is to promote the realization of a decarbonized society through the utilization of renewable energy, including solar power generation, and to enhance regional disaster resilience through mutual collaboration between Tokai Town and the Company. This aims to achieve sustainable regional development and ensure the safety and security of residents' lives. As a mountainous rural area, Tokai Town faces significant challenges in preparing for climate change-related disasters and ensuring stable electricity supply. Both parties will advance concrete initiatives under a comprehensive framework, leveraging their respective resources and expertise.

This agreement does not establish specific procurement arrangements but serves as a comprehensive framework to consolidate individual initiatives—such as renewable energy adoption and emergency power supply during disasters—into a holistic energy plan for the entire town. For the implementation of individual projects, separate discussions and contracts will be conducted as necessary.

Areas of Collaboration and Cooperation

Under this agreement, Tokai Town and the Company will collaborate on the following matters:

- Promotion of renewable energy (e.g., solar power generation) adoption within the region

- Securing emergency power sources during disasters using renewable energy, battery storage systems, EVs, and other technologies

- Examination of regional energy management and the construction of Virtual Power Plants (VPP)

- Public awareness and educational activities for residents and businesses regarding energy

- Implementation of related surveys, planning, and project proposals

In terms of role allocation, Tokai Town will provide regional information, coordinate with relevant agencies, and disseminate information to residents and businesses. The Company will provide technical advice on renewable energy and disaster resilience, conduct surveys and analysis, support planning and strategy development, and prepare project proposals.

The agreement is valid from June 15, 2026, to March 31, 2031. It will be automatically renewed under the same conditions if neither party notifies the other of termination at least one month before the expiration date.

Comment from Takaharu Murakami, Mayor of Tokai Town:

'In the face of climate change-induced disasters and rapid shifts in the energy landscape, ensuring a stable electricity supply has become the most critical issue for protecting the lives and safety of our residents in this nature-rich town. Formally partnering with AINEX, which possesses advanced technology and extensive expertise, is highly reassuring and marks a significant turning point for our town. This comprehensive collaboration is not merely a written commitment but the beginning of concrete actions to shape our town's future. We aim to comprehensively promote the maximum utilization of renewable energy and secure power during outages using battery storage and EVs, simultaneously achieving local energy production and consumption and enhanced safety.'

Comment from Hiro Nori Aizumi, CEO of AINEX Corporation:

'Guided by the principle of decarbonization, we are committed every day to being at the forefront when this nation achieves carbon neutrality. To date, we have conducted energy-saving assessments for approximately 300 municipalities and over 30,000 public facilities nationwide, engaging with the unique characteristics and challenges of regions from remote islands in Hokkaido to Okinawa. Under this agreement, we will jointly advance initiatives that integrate regional decarbonization with disaster resilience enhancement, leveraging our expertise. Particularly in mountainous areas, there are region-specific challenges such as terrain-dependent power generation conditions and preparedness for communities that may become isolated during disasters. We aim to work with the town to concretely envision how renewable energy, battery storage, and EVs can be effectively utilized in these contexts. We are also greatly looking forward to expanding such activities to other regions.'
