Komugino Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Naoto Sasayama) will begin accepting support on the crowdfunding site "CAMPFIRE" from 7:00 AM on July 1, 2026, for "Pizza no Dorei," a new business format born from "Komugi no Dorei," an entertainment bakery focused on regional revitalization originating from Taiki Town, Hokkaido.
"Pizza no Dorei" is a new business format that has been operating for a limited 100 days from May 1, 2026, to August 8, 2026, at "Komugi no Dorei" Taiki Main Store, aiming to create a new signature product from Taiki Town, following "Komugi no Dorei's" popular "Zac Zac Curry Bread." They offer "freshly baked pizzas for one person only" with crispy, double-baked pie crusts and carefully selected ingredients, aiming to sell 5,000 pizzas in 100 days. With the resolve to withdraw immediately if they cannot achieve 5,000 sales, they are continuing their serious challenge to create the next signature product from Taiki Town.
This crowdfunding campaign offers rewards such as "Tokachi Children's Cafeteria Tickets" and "On-site Pizza Party Tickets" that will help boost sales towards the goal of 5,000 pizzas. By expanding the circle of support through pizza to children, workplaces, and the community, they aim to develop the new brand from Taiki Town in Tokyo and further expand it to existing "Komugi no Dorei" stores nationwide.
- Aiming for 5,000 Pizzas Sold in 100 Days. The Serious Challenge of "Pizza no Dorei," a New Business Format from Taiki Town
"Pizza no Dorei" is a new business format operating for a limited 100 days, born from "Komugi no Dorei," an entertainment bakery focused on regional revitalization that originated in Taiki Town, Hokkaido.
"Komugi no Dorei" was established in 2020 in Taiki Town, Hokkaido, with a population of approximately 5,100, and has expanded nationwide thanks to its signature product, "Zac Zac Curry Bread." This product sold 10,000 units in just three months after its release. Cumulative sales have surpassed 6 million units, with revenue reaching approximately 1.8 billion yen.
The current "Pizza no Dorei" is a challenge to create a new signature product following "Zac Zac Curry Bread." The inspiration for its development came from a suggestion by our management strategy advisor, Horie Takafumi, also known as Horieemon: "How about making a light pizza using pie crust?"
They offer "freshly baked pizzas for one person only," made with crispy, double-baked pie crusts and carefully selected ingredients, baked to order. The pizzas are approximately 13cm in size, making them easy for one person to finish, and can be enjoyed in various situations such as a light lunch, a companion for a drive, a snack at work, a late-night meal, or an accompaniment to drinks.
Even when cold, they can be reheated in a microwave or toaster to regain their freshly baked crispiness, making them delicious for takeout.

The product lineup includes four types: "NY Margherita," a combination of special tomato sauce with oregano and garlic, mozzarella, and basil sauce; "Tender Pulled Pork BBQ," generously topped with special pulled pork; "Handa Farm Quattro," using cheese from Handa Farm in Taiki Town; and "Tokachi Mushroom Cream," a blend of Tokachi mushrooms and Handa Farm cheese.

"Pizza no Dorei" will operate for a limited 100 days from May 1, 2026, to August 8, 2026, at the Taiki Main Store, the origin of "Komugi no Dorei." During this period, the Taiki Main Store will operate exclusively as "Pizza no Dorei," without regular bread sales.
The goal is to sell 5,000 pizzas in 100 days. They aim to prove the potential of the new brand in their founding location by achieving the goal of selling 5,000 pizzas in Taiki Town, Hokkaido. Based on this success, they plan to establish the new brand in Tokyo and further expand it to existing "Komugi no Dorei" stores nationwide.
Selling 5,000 pizzas is not an easy goal. With the resolve to withdraw immediately if they fail to achieve it, "Pizza no Dorei" continues its challenge to create the next signature product from Taiki Town.

- To expand the circle of support towards selling 5,000 pizzas, support recruitment starts on "CAMPFIRE" from July 1st, 7:00 AM
"Pizza no Dorei," aiming to sell 5,000 pizzas in 100 days, had a strong start, selling 725 pizzas during the Golden Week period immediately after its launch.
However, challenges were observed in weekday sales after the holiday period. Against the target of an average of 50 pizzas per day needed to sell 5,000 pizzas, June sales averaged only about 20 pizzas per day. At this rate, they are projected to be more than 2,000 pizzas short of their goal.
In response to this situation, "Pizza no Dorei" will begin accepting support on the crowdfunding site "CAMPFIRE" from 7:00 AM on July 1, 2026, as a final push towards selling 5,000 pizzas.
This crowdfunding campaign is not just about fundraising. It is a participatory project to honestly convey the current sales situation and, together with supporters, increase sales and connect the new brand from Taiki Town to its next phase of development.

The rewards are designed to allow participation in the challenge in various ways through pizza.
"Tokachi Children's Cafeteria Tickets" are rewards where the number of tickets supported will be displayed in-store as "Children's Cafeteria Support Tickets," and pizzas will be provided to children visiting from the Taiki Town and Tokachi areas. The tickets can feature the supporter's name or nickname, creating a system where children can feel "someone is supporting them" each time they use a ticket.
"On-site Pizza Party Tickets" are catering-style rewards where Genki Hashimoto (Founder of "Komugi no Dorei" and "Pizza no Dorei") will bring pizzas to workplaces or gatherings and serve them warm on-site. You can support the 5,000-pizza sales challenge while enjoying pizza with colleagues at company lunches, afternoon snacks, internal events, community gatherings, or as a contribution to BBQs.
For corporations and organizations, a "Corporate Limited Hokkaido Special Plan" is also available. This is a special reward where Hashimoto will personally travel from Taiki Town to deliver 75 sets of the 4-type BOX, totaling 300 pizzas. This plan can be utilized for corporate events or community gatherings, and it represents a significant boost to the new brand from Taiki Town by the corporation or organization.
Please note that frozen pizza delivery is not supported for these rewards. To preserve the crispy texture unique to pie crusts, the focus is on delivery methods that ensure the pizza is served in the most delicious state possible, such as ticket redemption at the store or on-site pizza parties.
The characteristic of this crowdfunding campaign is not just purchasing pizza, but also expanding the circle of support to children, workplaces, and the community.

Comment from Genki Hashimoto, Founder of "Komugi no Dorei" and "Pizza no Dorei"
"Pizza no Dorei" is not just a project to sell new pizza. It is a challenge to create the next signature product from Taiki Town and nurture it as a new brand.
We had many customers visit during Golden Week and sold 725 pizzas. However, after the holiday period, we faced a significant hurdle with weekday sales, and the goal of selling 5,000 pizzas is currently out of reach.
Despite this, we have no intention of giving up on this challenge.
Through this crowdfunding campaign, we want to achieve the goal of selling 5,000 pizzas together with many people, including those who will eat the pizza, those who will deliver it to children in the community, and those who will incorporate it into their time with colleagues and friends.
Supporters, those who spread the word on social media, and those who visit our stores – each person's support is the driving force that moves this challenge forward.
We want to achieve 5,000 sales on August 8 (Sat) and celebrate the moment of achievement in Taiki Town with all our supporters. Then, with that story, we want to launch "Pizza no Dorei" in Tokyo.
From Taiki Town to Tokyo, and then nationwide. We will give our all until the end to spread the new brand called "Pizza no Dorei."
