Komuginonu Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Naoto Sasaki) operates "Komuginonu (Slave of Wheat)," an entertainment bakery brand born from HIU (Horie Takafumi Innovation University), the online salon led by Takafumi Horie (Horie Mon).
We are pleased to announce the grand opening of "Komuginonu Yokote Store" (hereinafter, "Yokote Store") on July 3, 2026 (Fri) in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture — marking the first location of the brand in Akita.
At the Yokote Store, we will launch three distinctive curry pan varieties as featured items: the iconic "Zakuzaku Curry Pan," which has become synonymous with the brand; the "Tobai Kiima Curry Pan" developed in collaboration with Chef Shunsaku Toba; and the store-exclusive "Yokote Spicy Curry Pan." In addition, we will offer a wide range of popular breads loved across all Komuginonu locations nationwide.
Beyond in-store sales, the store will actively pursue corporate visit sales, aiming to bring fresh bread closer to local residents.
・Akita's First Location: "Komuginonu Yokote Store" Opens in Yokote's Omachi District
The newly opened Yokote Store marks the first Komuginonu bakery in Akita Prefecture, located in the Omachi district of Yokote City. Motivated by a desire to bring joy to customers through the universally beloved "bread" and contribute to regional revitalization, we are proud to establish our presence here.
In addition to regular in-store sales, the store will emphasize corporate visit sales, creating opportunities for people to enjoy fresh bread during work breaks or lunch hours. Our goal is to become more than just a bakery to visit — we aim to be a familiar presence that brings bread directly to workplaces, integrating seamlessly into the daily lives of the local community.
The store features four indoor seats and two outdoor seats for enjoying freshly baked bread on-site. With parking available for five vehicles, we aim to become a convenient neighborhood bakery for everyday use.

Featured Products: Three Unique Curry Pan Varieties
The Yokote Store offers three distinct curry pan varieties as recommended items — from the brand's flagship product to a popular collaboration item and a store-exclusive specialty.
・Zakuzaku Curry Pan
The "Zakuzaku Curry Pan," the signature item of "Komuginonu," has won gold at the "Curry Pan Grand Prix®" for four consecutive years.
Croutons are attached across the entire surface of the bread before frying, creating the signature "crunchy" texture that gives the pan its name. With every bite, the roasted aroma of the croutons blends perfectly with the rich, house-made curry sauce.
Packed with chunks of potato, this pan delivers satisfying substance. The uniquely developed dough offers a soft, chewy texture, making it delicious whether reheated or eaten cold.
・Tobai Kiima Curry Pan
The "Tobai Kiima Curry Pan" is a popular collaborative product developed under the supervision of Chef Shunsaku Toba, owner of the restaurant "sio."
Based on the "Toba Family Secret Kiima Curry," a long-time favorite in Chef Toba's household, this recipe has been refined to restaurant quality. A subtle sweetness from mango chutney balances the spiciness, creating a flavor profile accessible to a wide range of palates.
This pan features a house-made kiima curry with well-preserved minced meat texture, wrapped in Komuginonu's signature dough. It's a must-try for curry pan lovers, offering a harmonious blend of rich curry, aromatic spices, and perfectly paired dough.
This product also won gold in the Kiima Curry Pan category at the "Curry Pan Grand Prix® 2025," earning high acclaim just three months after launch.
・Yokote Spicy Curry Pan
The "Yokote Spicy Curry Pan" is a store-exclusive specialty and a must-try item developed specifically for the Yokote Store.
Maintaining bold curry flavor while featuring a thinner crust for easier eating, this is a sophisticated curry pan seasoned with a unique spice blend developed exclusively for the Yokote Store.

・About the Regional Revitalization Entertainment Bakery "Komuginonu (Slave of Wheat)"
Komuginonu Co., Ltd. operates the bakery brand "Komuginonu," born from HIU, the online salon led by Takafumi Horie.
Our journey began in 2020 in Taiki Town, Hokkaido — a town of about 5,500 people — and is now entering a new phase. At the core of our evolution is "mobile sales (external sales)," where we go beyond the confines of a physical store to bring fresh bread directly to communities. By visiting areas with few bakeries and local businesses, we deliver bread baked fresh each day. This approach goes beyond sales — it's a mobile entertainment experience that fosters connections with local residents. In this niche market with little competition, "Komuginonu" has gained overwhelming support.
At our flagship Taiki Store, which celebrated its 6th anniversary in April 2026, mobile sales now account for the majority of revenue, proving a successful model for regional revitalization that isn't limited by location or population. Moving forward, we will continue our mission not by waiting in stores, but by actively bringing the power of bread to communities across Japan.
