Cotra Ltd. announced today, May 11, 2026, that its 'Cotra Remittance' service now enables donations to activities undertaken by various corporations and organizations. This new feature allows users to easily contribute to social welfare through their smartphone apps, with all remittance fees waived.

Cotra Remittance (Donations) can be sent from all Cotra Remittance compatible apps (currently 33 apps are supported) using the same method as conventional Cotra Remittance. Furthermore, there are no fees associated with sending these donations (as of May 11, 2026).

Moving forward, the number of corporations and organizations that can receive donations via Cotra Remittance is scheduled to increase progressively.
'Cotra Remittance' is a service designed for person-to-person transfers of ¥100,000 or less, enabling easy transfers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, not only by entering account numbers from compatible smartphone apps but also by using mobile phone numbers. It is utilized in various scenarios, including transferring funds between your own accounts and splitting bills with friends. It is currently available fee-free at 424 companies.
