CS Satellite Theater will feature "Missing Films - Miraculously Remaining Film Revived -" in April, broadcasting three films for the first time on TV that have parts of their original film damaged or missing.

These phantom films, which once graced the screen, were thought to be "never to be seen again" due to war damage or film degradation. Miraculously, fragments of them were discovered and revived. We bring you "Shuchu Nikki," the second oldest existing Shochiku film; "Asataro Akagi no Uta," which features the hit song "Akagi no Komoriuta" by singer Taro Shoji as its theme song and showcases the essence of a matatabi (traveler's tale); and "The Century Laughs Digital Restoration Version," a supreme entertainment drama by master Masahiro Makino, discovered in Russia. At Tsurukame-za in a coastal town overlooking the Sea of Japan. While Kansai Naniwabushi performer Matsunaken Uemon (Konparu) gives a solo performance in front of an empty audience, the town's public bathhouse is filled with applause. The performers are the duo Taizo Hirota (Hirozawa) and Bansaku Sugino (Sugi). Their main business is a Chinese noodle shop. When Hirota accidentally delivered an order to Tsurukame-za, the owner (Suzuki) told him that his Naniwabushi was the cause of the poor attendance, and he was deeply embarrassed. Unaware of this, Sugino was ecstatic when Ofumi, the owner's daughter, invited him to see a waterfall in the mountains the next day.
