Suzuran Yamauchi also appears! TOTSU GROUP presents "Let's Make Our City Freer!" – Challenging Future City Planning with LEGO® Blocks

Totsu Group, a comprehensive real estate company primarily engaged in real estate business in Tokyo, hosted a city-building experience event for children who will lead the next generation, "TOTSU GROUP presents Let's Make Our City Freer! in Tokyo Tower," at Tokyo Tower Main Deck "club 333" on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Last year, Totsu Group launched the "More Freedom in Real Estate Project" and has been involved in city building across various fields, including real estate development and hotel businesses. This was their first experiential program for children, aimed at "learning future city building through play." They are also actively working to improve urban value through sponsorships such as the Tokyo Tower premium tour "TOKYO DIAMOND TOUR." This event aimed to foster children's free ideas and nurture their imagination for future city planning. Many children participated in programs utilizing LEGO® Education, such as a building area where they created LEGO® block structures to complete a city overlooking Tokyo's panorama from 150m up, and workshops where they challenged model creation under the theme "Let's Make Our City Freer!" led by LEGO® Education Academy Teacher Trainers (hereinafter, LEGO Certified Instructors), making for a day full of smiles.

Suzuran Yamauchi Appears as Special Guest!

Suzuran Yamauchi, who has been appointed as Totsu Group's image character, appeared as a special guest at the event. For approximately 15 minutes, she provided a live report, navigating the excitement of the venue and the children's creative process. Yamauchi interacted directly with the children, asking, "Everyone, are you enjoying city building with LEGO®?" bringing even more unity and vibrancy to the venue.

The event offered three areas—"Workshop," "Building," and "Duplo Block Space"—tailored to children's ages and interests, providing a multifaceted city-building experience.

■ "Building" Corner for Free-thinking Creation

The building area was set up in the center of "Club333." Attending children freely created "future homes" and "towers they wish existed," placing them on a base. Over time, more participant works accumulated, culminating in a single piece: "The Future City We All Built." Pyramid-shaped towers and buildings lush with flowers and trees were displayed in the exhibition corner, showcasing a unique, free-spirited future city filled with children's dreams and playfulness.

■ "Workshop" Corner for Learning Through Play

LEGO Certified Instructors were invited to conduct an experiential workshop incorporating learning elements under the theme "Let's Make Our City Freer!" Participants focused on designing and constructing structures that were "as tall as possible" and "rotatable" under the condition of "not collapsing/falling." Scenes were frequently observed where children collaborated, saying, "How can we make it taller?" and rebuilt their creations. Through the process of assembling each part with their own meaning, such as "Why is this necessary?", it became a lively learning time where they naturally expanded their understanding of structures, problem-solving skills, and creative thinking through play.

■ "Duplo" Area: Where Even Small Children Become Makers

A play area designed with safety in mind was set up primarily for preschool children. A dedicated space featuring LEGO® DUPLO, approximately twice the normal size, was deployed. In this relaxed play area where children could take off their shoes, joyful voices echoed, and adorable scenes were observed everywhere of children proudly showing their families, "I made a big house!" The time spent building blocks with their families, through trial and error, was an experience for small children to shape their ideas, and for families, a warm memory of taking smiling photos while feeling their children's growth.

■ Exhibition & Photo Spot: Children's Works and 1m "LEGO® Tokyo Tower" in Collaboration

An exhibition corner was set up in the venue to bring together the unique works created by children on the day. Furthermore, at its center, a Tokyo Tower model approximately 1m tall (using 2525 LEGO® blocks), specially created for this event by Haruka Yamaguchi of the University of Tokyo LEGO Club, winner of LEGO Masters Japan, was displayed. The exquisitely assembled, awe-inspiring model served as a photo spot for visitors.
