Tokyu Land Corporation Accelerates Events to Attract Entrepreneurs to Live in Greater Shibuya Area for Community Building

Tokyu Land Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroaki Hoshino) has announced the acceleration of events aimed at increasing the number of entrepreneurs residing in the 'Greater Shibuya Area' (approximately 2.5km radius from Shibuya Station). The goal is to facilitate community formation and attract startup companies to the district.

The area is characterized by the integration of 'working, playing, and living.' As part of its urban development, Tokyu Land is creating 'Community Residences' to serve as a life infrastructure where entrepreneurs and creators can connect not only through work but also in their daily lives. These residences aim to be hubs where constant exchange and industrial co-creation occur. Beyond simple housing, the management design focuses on natural networking and mutual support among people with similar passions and diverse backgrounds, encouraging new actions and challenges.

Tokyu Land also operates startup hubs like 'SAKURA DEEPTECH SHIBUYA' and 'GUILD VALLEY' in the area. By blending residential life with business, the company strives for sustainable industrial growth. To promote the appeal of living in the area, Tokyu Land will host ongoing events, starting with 'How is it living in Shibuya?' held in March 2026. A community residence with 60-70 units is slated for completion in the Minami-Aoyama area around 2028.

The area-specific app 'SHIBUYA MABLs' is being utilized for event announcements and participant recruitment, helping workers and residents connect across traditional workplace boundaries. On March 10, 2026, fifty entrepreneurs and creators gathered at SAKURA DEEPTECH SHIBUYA for the inaugural event, marking the beginning of this enhanced community-building initiative.
