Background of the Project This project aims to realize the "Kyushu University Hakozaki Campus Redevelopment Grand Design" by leveraging the university's history and vast site to create a hub where diverse people gather and generate innovation. Based on the philosophy of "FUKUOKA Smart EAST※", it represents Japan's largest smart city development fusing tradition and innovation. Industry, government, academia, and the public will each play their respective roles in working together to create and disseminate new industries, while realizing future town development that leads the world as an environmentally advanced city.

Vision for the Town Hakozaki, the site of this project, has been a place where tradition and pride have been passed down for over 100 years since Kyushu Imperial University was established in 1911.
