Art inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's "Phoenix Screen" spreads across the lobby
Royal Hotel, Ltd. (Nakanoshima, Kita-ku, Osaka; President and Representative Director: Fumikazu Ueda) will open its new brand hotel under Rihga Royal Hotels, "Anchor Heart by Rihga Osaka Namba," on Friday, April 3, 2026, following development by Tokyu Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Hiroaki Hoshino). The concept is "PLAYFUL OSAKA." Featuring a dynamic mural in the lobby inspired by the "Phoenix," said to be a harbinger of good luck, along with art that embodies the energetic atmosphere of the Namba and Shinsekai areas, and warm, friendly service, we will provide a memorable "PLAYFUL" stay experience.
The new hotel is ideally located within walking distance of "Shinsekai," known for Tsutenkaku Tower, "Ura-Namba," where food cultures blend, and "Otah Road," a mecca for subculture. It offers the perfect base to fully enjoy Osaka's unique local gourmet and tourist attractions.
The hotel features 200 guest rooms, each with a bathroom including a washing area and a separate toilet. It also includes a restaurant where guests can enjoy everything from breakfast to dinner, with Osaka-esque dishes like "Western-style takoyaki" (octopus balls) grilled on an iron plate and mixed juice. The top floor houses a large public bath and sauna. In all areas, artists with connections to Osaka have adorned the spaces with art full of individuality and playfulness, embodying "PLAYFUL OSAKA."
