Lobby featuring art inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's "Phoenix Folding Screen". Royal Hotel Co., Ltd. (Nakanoshima, Kita-ku, Osaka; President and Representative Director: Fumikazu Ueda) will open its new brand hotel, "Ancard by Rihga Osaka Namba," part of the Rihga Royal Hotels chain, on Friday, April 3, 2026, following development by Tokyu Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Hiroaki Hoshino). The concept is "PLAYFUL OSAKA." The hotel will offer a memorable "PLAYFUL" stay experience through art inspired by the energetic atmosphere of the Namba and Shinsekai areas, including a dynamic mural in the lobby featuring a 'phoenix,' said to be a harbinger of good fortune, and warm, friendly service.
The new hotel is ideally located within walking distance of "Shinsekai," known for Tsutenkaku Tower, "Ura-Namba," where food cultures intertwine, and "Ota Road," a mecca for subcultures, allowing guests to fully enjoy Osaka's unique local gourmet food and tourist attractions.
The hotel features 200 guest rooms, all equipped with washroom-style bathrooms and separate toilets. It also has a restaurant where guests can enjoy Osaka-style breakfast, such as "Western-style takoyaki" grilled on a hot plate and mixed juice, all the way through dinner. On the top floor, there is a large public bath and sauna. Artists connected to Osaka have decorated these spaces with art full of individuality and playfulness, embodying "PLAYFUL OSAKA." As a base for enjoying "deep Osaka" tourism, guests can immerse themselves in the excitement of travel while enjoying a relaxing stay that heals both mind and body.
