Toshima Ward has various faces, such as Komagome, the birthplace of Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms; Sugamo, known as 'Grandma's Harajuku'; Otsuka, where Tokyo's only streetcar runs through the city; Ikebukuro, which has a huge terminal; Zoshigaya, rich in history and culture; Mejiro, lush and dignified; Minami-Nagasaki, 'the town where Tokiwa-so was located'; and Nagasaki, Kanamecho, and Chihaya, which retain the vestiges of Ikebukuro Montparnasse. We aim to share the future vision of the town with everyone and realize 'a longed-for town where encounters and smiles bloom.'
