Tokyo Metropolitan Government to Select Video Adaptations by Citizen Vote. Seeking Heartwarming Welfare Episodes from Citizens! A Project to Recreate Episodes into Dramas

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Social Welfare will be soliciting episodes for "When I Realized Someone Was Supporting Me - Heartwarming Welfare Episodes -" from Friday, May 1st to Monday, June 1st at 5:00 PM.

Welfare work is essential work indispensable to daily life. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is implementing a campaign to reach those who are not usually involved in welfare and younger generations, and to secure welfare personnel for the future.

In this campaign, we will solicit familiar and heartwarming episodes related to interactions with welfare professionals, such as "they stood by me" or "they saved me," from users of welfare services and their families, and determine the grand prize and other awards through citizen voting.

Selected episodes will be recreated as dramas and developed for media, widely communicating the social value of welfare professionals to Tokyo citizens.

Episode Category

We are looking for episodes from times when you were involved with welfare in your daily life, such as childcare, nursing care, and disability welfare.

Please send us heartwarming "Good Episodes" with welfare professionals, such as "the trigger at the nursery school where parents gained peace of mind and could enjoy daily life with their children," "daily stories with day service staff who support 'everyday life as usual' which is difficult with family care alone," or "the kind words from a staff member who made me feel I wasn't alone."

About Episode Selection

(1) Selection by Selection Committee (scheduled for June)

From the submitted episodes, several will be selected as grand prize candidates for citizen voting.

(2) Citizen Voting (scheduled for July)

Citizen voting (internet format) will be conducted to determine the grand prize and other awards.

We are looking for small insights related to welfare. If you have a moment where you and welfare were involved in your everyday life, please tell us in a short message, such as "the words spoken to me were kind" or "they were by my side."
