Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Akihiro Kosaka; hereinafter "Tokyo Metro"), in a joint project with Tobu Top Tours Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Koji Hyakuda), will operate the event train "Dream Adventure Train Route Ginmaru" on Saturday, May 30, 2026, using a Series 1000 special train on the Ginza Line.
This event train is a special train project conceived primarily by active Ginza Line crew members, driven by the desire to "provide an even more enjoyable experience for our customers." Through operating routes and performances not typically experienced, the event is designed to allow participants to fully enjoy the charm of railways.
On the day of the event, two courses will be offered: the "Ginmaru Ichigo Course," where participants board the special train from Ueno Depot and head towards Nakano Depot, and the "Ginmaru Nigo Course," which departs from Nakano Depot and aims for the "phantom Shinbashi Station."
On the Ginmaru Ichigo, the phenomenon of the train interior temporarily darkening when passing through a "section" where the electrical supply changes will be reproduced, with the auxiliary lights in the passenger compartment illuminating. After arriving at Nakano Depot, participants can enjoy taking photos of the special train they rode alongside its predecessor, the Series 01 train.
Furthermore, the Ginmaru Nigo offers a valuable experience where participants can alight and visit the "phantom platform" of Shinbashi Station, which was only used for approximately eight months from January to September 1939.
We invite everyone to take this opportunity to enjoy this event train, filled with the dedication and hospitality unique to active crew members.
Tokyo Metro will continue to plan and implement events that customers can enjoy through "City Tourism" within Tokyo. We also aim to cherish our connections with residents along our lines and be a beloved Tokyo Metro.
