Genki Iwahashi Added as Guest for TOKYO MX’s “Natsumatsuri Tokumori! Heisei Songs Shika Katan, 2026”

TOKYO MX (Tokyo Metropolitan Television Broadcasting Corporation, headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has announced that Genki Iwahashi will appear as an additional segment guest at the event “Natsumatsuri Tokumori! Heisei Songs Shika Katan, 2026,” to be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the National Convention Hall of Pacifico Yokohama. Iwahashi starred as Hiroshi Suzuki, also known as Hiro, in the TOKYO MX drama “Renai Ruby no Tadashii Furikata,” which aired in the July season last year. At the event, he will appear in a segment discussing memorable Heisei-era songs and will also take on a TikTok shoot featuring popular Heisei songs. In addition, a major announcement from Iwahashi regarding a TOKYO MX program is planned. Genki Iwahashi began activities as a solo artist on April 1, 2021, based in Japan and Los Angeles. His single “My Lovely X’mas,” released in December of the same year, ranked No. 1 on the annual indie singles chart for 2021. In February 2026, he released his first major-label single through Teichiku Entertainment and continues to pursue music actively. He has also expanded his acting career, appearing in the film “Otokogami,” scheduled for nationwide release in Japan on September 19, 2025, and starring in TOKYO MX’s July 2025 drama “Renai Ruby no Tadashii Furikata.” “Natsumatsuri Tokumori! Heisei Songs Shika Katan, 2026” is an event built around the catchphrase “Heisei songs are unbeatable,” featuring live performances, dance projects, and other programs. Performers will present and cover memorable Heisei summer songs along with personal stories, while a Heisei hit-song dance medley choreographed under the supervision of Papaya Suzuki & THE YARA will be performed through one-day-only collaborations among the cast. The event will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The afternoon show opens at 14:00 and starts at 15:00, while the evening show opens at 18:00 and starts at 19:00. The venue is the National Convention Hall of Pacifico Yokohama. Tickets are reserved seating only, with SS seats priced at 12,000 yen and S seats at 9,500 yen, tax included. Performers include THE YARA, Yuma Nakayama, Riku Hirano, VOKSY DAYS, and ReLIT, with Genki Iwahashi as segment guest, Kumamushi as MC, and Papaya Suzuki supervising dance and also appearing.
