Tokyo Skytree will host a three-day event from Friday, April 3rd to Sunday, April 5th, at the SKYTREE SHOP on the 5th floor. Under the theme of 'JAPAN MADE' - Japanese craftsmanship, we will simultaneously hold a tasting and sales event for sake brewed with traditional techniques by Tenko Shuzo Co., Ltd., a brewery from Tochigi Prefecture, and an exhibition and sales event for 'Kura-in T-shirts' - Japanese-made T-shirts featuring sake labels preserved by brewers, produced by Kume Textile Industry Co., Ltd., a company with its business base in Sumida Ward, the local area of Tokyo Skytree. Tenko Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a long-established brewery founded in 1914 in Tochigi Prefecture, specializing in dry sake. They are renowned for their high-quality organic and dry sakes, including receiving a gold medal for the only organic Japanese sake in Japan, using the underground water from the Nasu mountain range*. They are also known for 'Hachimitsu-shu' (mead), a fermented beverage made with honey and water, which was the first Japanese product to win a gold medal at a global competition. Kume Textile Industry Co., Ltd., founded in 1935 and located in Sumida Ward, Tokyo, is a long-established domestic T-shirt manufacturer. They are characterized by their high-quality 'Made in Japan' products crafted by skilled artisans and their environmentally conscious, sustainable manufacturing practices. This event is designed to allow everyone, including overseas visitors to Tokyo Skytree, to easily experience 'JAPAN MADE'. We invite you to visit Tokyo Skytree on this occasion. *'Underground water' refers to surface water such as river water that has infiltrated and been filtered through sand layers within the ground and then re-emerges on the surface.
