The 'SDGs QUEST Future National High School Baseball Tournament' Secretariat (within Mirai Kyōiku Kabushiki Kaisha) has decided to hold the 2026 'SDGs QUEST Future National High School Baseball Tournament.' This year as well, it will be held for all high school students (including special needs schools and correspondence schools) in all 47 prefectures nationwide, including remote islands and mountainous regions.
This tournament is not just an idea contest. With the support of over 150 diverse stakeholders, including co-creation partners such as local media and local financial institutions, national advisors leading the fields of education and SDGs, and local executive committees, it is a platform for connecting students' inquiry learning results to actual 'social implementation' through public-private-academic-citizen collaboration.
In advance of the entry acceptance starting in the autumn, we will begin pre-announcement, including the advance provision of the 'Inquiry Class Support Set,' a direct-class-connected set, to incorporate this tournament into the annual plan and syllabus of 'Comprehensive Inquiry Time' in schools.

【Three Merits for High School Teachers to Choose This Tournament as the 'Exit of Inquiry'】
We have prepared a system where students can 'self-drive' while minimizing the instructional burden on teachers, leading to solid career achievements.
1. 'Solid Achievements' Directly Connected to College Portfolios
As a result of collaborative learning by teams of 2 to 6 people, participating students will be issued a 'Certificate of Participation (including English version)' that serves as a powerful weapon for comprehensive selection and overseas university admission. Furthermore, this year, to maximize the value of the students' challenges, we will provide 'Encouragement Awards' to all finalist teams.
2. Various Collaboration Events Connecting Inquiry to Society
This year, we have prepared opportunities for challenging multiple 'derivative routes' from a single entry, such as collaboration events with JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) related to international field cooperation. These collaboration events will be subject to evaluation for all teams that have entered under the theme of 'International Field Cooperation,' regardless of whether finalists are selected in the regional tournaments. By 'just applying,' you can connect with peers nationwide who depict the same future, and provide the experience of broadening your horizons from the region to the world. Furthermore, as in previous years, two teams were selected at the 'National Forest Creation Promotion Conference' themed on forests, and the Chairman's Award was selected, among other opportunities to disseminate high school students' ideas to society.
3. Local Communities Actively Support Students' Ideas
Local stakeholders (local universities, local governments, local companies, citizen organizations, SDGs experts, etc.) participating in the executive committee will directly evaluate and support the students' ideas. By collaborating towards the achievement of SDGs, you can cultivate the 'power to move society (social implementation ability)' that cannot be completed in the classroom alone.
【Immediately Usable! Advance Provision of Direct-Class-Connected 'Inquiry Class Support Set'】
To reduce the burden of syllabus creation and daily lesson preparation, we will provide ready-to-use instructional tools in advance to schools participating in the tournament.
